Honey capping is the thin layer of fresh beeswax the bees build over each cell once the honey inside is ripe. We slice it off the frame at harvest and jar it exactly as it comes, soft wax with the honey still in it, along with the pollen and propolis the bees carried across the comb. Naturally powerful, healthy and full of antioxidants and propolis. Eat it by the spoonful, spread it on toast, or chew it like gum. 300 g jar.

Honey Capping questions
What exactly is honey capping?
When bees finish ripening the honey in a cell, they seal it with a thin layer of fresh beeswax. That seal is the capping. We slice the cappings off the frame at harvest to reach the honey, and this jar is those cappings, wax and all, with honey still in them.
How do I eat it?
By the spoonful, spread on toast or a cracker, or chewed like gum. The wax does not dissolve, so swallow it or spit it out, both are fine.
Why is it darker than honey?
Bees track propolis and pollen across the comb as they work, and it settles on the caps. The darker the cappings, the more of it they carry.
How do I store it?
Keep the jar sealed at room temperature, away from heat and sunlight. No refrigeration needed.
